The image in each painting is placed in the middle of the composition striped of any recognizable signs of specific time or place. From within the act of painting the image grows as if creating itself. An accidental drop of paint diverts the expression and reaffirms it. A swift line changes the stance and posture completely.

The person positioned before us is marked often with a professional identity by articles of clothing, even though they are not seen in the line of duty, they are now in abatement. The guard is not guarding the delivery man is not transporting and the violinist is not playing his instrument.
In a moment, they will take off their uniforms, the uniforms that form their identity; they will be restored to their personal entity.
